Need to lose some fight rank

The balance of power missions are kicking my butt. This is probably due to my fight rank being battlemaster. I knew all those hunting excursions into pirate and xenon sectors would come back to bite me in the end. Anyway, what's the rate of loss in fight rank if I just sit around and not fight for awhile?

Bring in a M7M. I complained about the same thing testing the BOP missions, and the Dev's felt that a player will have amassed an entire fleet by that time. And if its the part I'm thinking of, use your best troops.

I suppose that's the solution to everything at this point, haha. M7M with lots of flails/ghouls and hammers/shadows.

If one were willing to accept losses, which is reasonable in a large scale military conflict where the ships are made of paper, could you just throw M2s into the battle until you turn the tide? Granted it may cost 1B cr a mission Or maybe judging by the fleet fest winners, you could just put swarms of MD/Wasp equipped Solanos into the map.

Granted I have yet to this plot, but I know there was a thread on here of someone taking over all Split sectors (he had a racial response fleet mod so the Split threw many M2/M1s into the defense of that sector) and they won with conventional ships. Of course the losses were staggering, around 4 capitals and several hundred M3s...

if you want to lose fight rank, Park yourself in terran space or EOL and hit SETA. After that, leave your game alone for a day or two, and you should be at a lower rank.
