What did they give you for the plot. I did not recieve anything

Look in your Flight menu. You should find the "Unfocussed Jumpdrive". Try it out.

Other than the TLS (TrueLight Seeker), you get an Unfocused JumpDrive.

The UFJD stays with you,which ever ship you are in or move to.

It will be very useful in at least one plot later.

There are a number of other advantages too.

There is a ship that you will never own if you do not use the UFJD.

UFJD has saved my life more then a few times, and at the very least, can be an easy supply of Ecells.

Without needing a target, I just use the UFJD in combat if things start to turn bad, giving me a breather in most cases

found it already used it ina battle worked great. the ship you need it for
would that be the Aran and is it in the sector you jump to

The sector you jump to is generated for that jump only.
It is very much a random affair as to what is there when you arrive. Some find the Aran with a few jumps.
Others have taken 100 jumps or more. So if Aran hunting read the appropriate guide thread and go prepared 'cause anything you leave behind is lost forever.

For exemple my first 3 Arans took 250 jumps. 1st at 15, 2nd at 150 3rd at 250.
Like TTD says, the sector is generated upon the jump, and "degenerated" upon returning to normal space, so anything you leave there disappears, be it ships or stations.

Just stay there to micro manage your assets.

One shoudl note the "safe" word, and remember that in UFJD you often get customers in very big ships, swarming with this beautiful red color

TLS is awarded at a later time in the game. They will message you about it..

UFJD is available right after the finish.

I finished the plot anbd have the UFJD but I'm lost as to where my TLS is.

It appears on my property menu with no secctor assigned.

It's usually docked at a station in Elysium of Light. From your property menu, try pressing the . while the TLS is highlighted and see which sector map opens up.
