X-BTF Location of saved games?

X-BTF Location of saved games?

Does anyone know what folder contains the save games for X-BTF?

I have looked in the c:\program files\egosoft one and i couldn't see them so are they in a different folder somewhere?

There's a good chance they are saved in your home/user folder.

The should be located in c:\program files\egosoft\x-beyond the frontier\

Edit: Unless you installed the game in a different place.

Vista or 7 will have virtualised anything written to Program Files - similar to this X2 FAQ.

Thanks Carlo for link, this helped me find my saved games.

Now i can swap my game between my Desktop and Netbook. :)

The last time i played x-btf i was using Win98 and i'm sure it saved it into the default game directory. This is the first time i have experienced any game saving into the folder described in the FAQ.Maybe the fact that xbtf uses this folder with Win7 should be mentioned on the FAQ as well.

Yes on mine it is in "C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\EGOSOFT\X-Beyond the Frontier"

Using W7 64 bit.
