Changing weapons for Khaak and fighterdrones

are the weapons (kyons for khaak and impulse ray emitters / pac for fighterdrones) somehow locked in some script? or file? coz when i alter
the tships, remove those weapons and provide compatibilty for other
weapons they seem to spawn without weapons when i cheat them in :?
i'm noticing it both with fighterdrones and khaaks....

Fighter drones are spawned using a preset wares list. The wares list provides all the potential combinations for default ship loadouts. IIRC, that list includes the weapons of fighter drones.

Change the wares list, and you should be able to change the fighter drones.

thanks for yr reply, any chance of getting pointed into the right direction towards the location of that warelist .. in which cat/dat should i look? or is it in the programfiles itself? whats the precise name of that file?

would this generation of preconfigured load-outs also apply to the khaak ships?

I don't remember exactly. I stumbled across it playing with the X3 editor. If you find the ship's "ware index", there should be an option to go directly to the file.

I'll try to find it when I'm back on my main computer.

Using X3E2, find whatever wareslist the ship references, open up TWareLists, find that entry, and edit it to your liking. Should work just fine.

i'm not sure these ships / drones have a direct reference to a ware,
not in tships i think. I could be wrong though, will check again later at night.
