Split Espionage and Sabotage

Hi all,

I'm at the Terran mission Split Espionage and Sabotage where you're in the captured Caiman flying to the Split TL. As I got close it launched fighters so I beamed back to my Hyperion. I killed the fighters and the TL turned hostile.

Now as I get close to the TL in the Caiman I get blown up by his weapons. No way to plant the bug. Any ideas?
