Aldrin mission ship help

I'm at the part where I've solved all the fire wall codes and need to send a ship a message to stop it. the message is

USCMarteen_earth_plus.omega

but it doesn't except the code. I'm about 18 km from it.

In freedom Reach the ship is #cafe The code is to take control of it.
The code doesn't seem to work.
What am I doing wrong?
