Halo Ships

Hi everybody. Ive seen one or two threads about halo ships. But not much. I was wondering if anyone had any halo ships or knew of anybody working on any?

well there are some ships done in google sketchup that could be used but they are in .skp format and it seems there are no tutorials on sorting those out i am currently looking at some skp ships but have no idea how to get em working i seriously need an idiots guide lol

First thing you need to do is get them in 3dmax or Gmax.

Yea. Ive played around in Google Sketch up but nothing more then that. I dont know anything about modeling either. Although i think it would be good(and quite surprised there arent already a large amount with reach's recent release) to see alot of the UNSC ships in game

right i got gmax can you please pm me the next steps it seems i wnt a lil crazy and now have about 40 ships the madness must end!!!!

Do you happen to have the Phoenix class colony transport? Cause that in my opinion is one of the coolest looking ships from halo! lol

those are what i can see.. im working on 70+ships now... god elp me if you can make up what ya want in sketchup i will try to get around to helping you out no promises tho m8 its alot of work and hopefully these folks here may advise me they have done a stunning job so far! (not kidding i found details via pm and on other threads and had offers of help too!)

Yea i understand. Ive worked on several mods before including one of my own, and its hard being able to balance the mod between your real life school/work. I appreciate though mate.

current situation update

right so far i have 73 ships in .dae format now i gotta ''paint'' them in meshlab..... shame im a crap artist lmao then from what i can gather is
--- put them into a format x3tc understands
--- make up the cat and dat files
--- do some scripting

erm somewhere in there i gotta fathom where to put engine glow and weapons but it might be where i paint them up .... anyone got any tips on painting up/skinning the mesh?

Um, im not sure. But i know theres an option for the engine glow when your editing an xsp ship in cycrows ship editor. Not sure if thats what you need or not.
