Captain Rank ???

I am working on OFF and keep getting the same repeat missions ... goto Kha'ak sector 931 or 841, escort this or other convoy ..... And while the sectors 931 and 841 provide quiet a nice purse of cash, I keep going on circles.

Now, I have read that you must reach the rank of captain in order to get the final mission. That is my problem, my current rank is number 22 or vindicator. I checked and couldn't find the rank of captain on the roster. So, what is the rank equivalent? Or this is a specific race rank?

Any answer will be greatly appreciated!

You've got a separate Final Fury rank. And that must be captain.

How can you someone reach the general rank? Usually OFF is capped at captains rank. What actions are tied to rising the rank? Doing missions and/or killing Khaak in the missions?

AFAIK you do the jump into Khaaksector thing and do the escort missions until the captains rank is reached. After that the last parts of OFF start (destroy this and that and finally the hive).

You can't, in a vanilla game (as far as I know).

I think the rank is directly proportional to the number of Kha'ak you kill, so if you go into the missions on x-treme rank and ensure you personally wipe out all the spawned enemies, you may be able to achieve a higher rank. Not sure, tho.

This, of course, assumes the missions still spawn the number/strength of enemies based on your combat rank. It used to take into account the ship you were in and the other ships you owned in the immediate area (sector I think) but I seem to remember that got removed

But, even if the above is true, you still may not be able to get enough Kha'ak to achieve a higher rank...

This sounds reasonable.

On the other hand there is the cap at rank of captain. Even if you kill everything that moves (and is Khaak of course

), you will achieve the cap rankand do one or two of the escort missions. Than you are already good to go for the end.

Or did I miss something?
