Space fly armada????? lol name change

hi sorry another post lol

opened up script editor and i have 15000 scripts running.

now in editor if scripts are on stack does that mean they are presently running????

if so out of the 15000 i have 7000 i.ship.cmd.followspacefly running ??????

can this be right? the figures are correct i swear down!!! half the total running scripts it would be. is there a way ingame to cease this script from running??? is it even a problem??? can i just delete that script as i have no interest in spaceflies lol

Yes it is slowing down. im guessing this is mod releated but i dont know which. probably IR or one of the jobs effecting scripts but how can i stop these script processes? they are ego scripts by the looks of things not accessable in the editor or so i think????

the khaak the xenon and the pirates cant beat me but im guessing the spacefly armada will lol

if they are in the third column of the list it means they have run and terminated if they are in the first two columns you have a problem.

You can also create 1 topic and ask multiple questions you know ;)

sorry lv its the same topic i just changed the name (i think thats what you mean) and if its seta i didnt want to get this confused with the usual seta problems :)

yes the figures are from the first 2 collums. the total run in the third is only about 60000 which in retrospect considering game time shows the scripts are not terminating.

i wasnt sayin IR was the culprit i was just giving examples of mods i use.

is there anyway of terminating a set of scripts?

a list of mods i use.....

-Xtra shippack (with new xtra jobs-unleashed version no civs)
-unleashed
-cmod 4
-emp
-advanced complexes
-vanilla malt gamestarts
-resize aldrin rock

i would point 2wards jobs or mabye npc salvaging but im not sure.

narrowing down the culprit would be gd but terminating these scripts in my present game would be better as i dont want to restart yet again!! im determined to play these darned 3.0 missions lol

p.s the iship.cmd.follow.spacefly is refering to spaceflies right? lol

+thought i should mention i havnt changed any scripts im only using the ones stated.

yeah the xtra jobs which includes cadius xtra shippack ships in as race vesells. ill msg the author and see if he can check it out.

Jobs can only directly call a !job script, so I don't believe its causing the problem. Not sure what does. I can add a question of my own, though;

I see the scripts folder contains a '!job.special.spacefly.hunter' script. It looks to me as though it should work. Does it?

No vanilla Jobs use it. Would adding a few help to keep the spacefly population under control?

hmn, can be fixed by scanning all ships in the universe and those running the spacefly.follow script being killed, a quick a dirty way (and pretty cpu intensive while it runs)

the more relevant point is finding how you have this infestation in the first place or you'd need to keep doing the nuke script over and over

what are your scripting skills like?

all i know is how to run scripts lol :S

i dont mind doing the nuke process though because when i start a game i have around 8000 scripts going and this problem is about 24 hours constant play before i get up to 16000. so running it every now and then would be a great fix for now :)

how do i scan and then destroy???? or do i need a script????

my goal right now is to get to the new 3.0 missions so i dont want to start again. :D

p.s im grinding away slowly, just finished OFF with a cadius mk2 valhalla supported with 2 tyr's and 2 aegir's as flak support. jumped into khaak home and had 12 various M1 / m2' attacking me lol fps 2!!! but i got there. took me 3 hours lol

Well the unexpected has happened, Judas taken off after 75 mins and a stunning 1-0 for the red machine.
