Where to find a jumpdrive

Where do you buy a jumpdrive on the Terran Defender Start? Do you have to go all the way to Argon space? Or is there somewhere closer...

There's nowhere particularly close (that you can use early on).

Does the Terran Defender start with Earth Access?

If not, then by my count the 2 nearest sources are, counting from a start in Heretic's End, 14 jumps away (One is Argon, the other isn't).

Actually, considering the size of Terran sectors, those are probably quicker to get to anyway.

One of those requires a detour through Interworlds to be 14 jumps, by the way. While the other sends you through a Xenon sector.
