In launch attack are there any ways to only launce cirtain types of ships without using wings

Not to my knowledge, you would have to command the ships individually.

Why not use wings?

The answer is No, and Yes.

Only if you take the carrier into combat while flying it will kills from it increase your fight rank. So those AI ships won't increase your rank at all. Only kills from the player ship will.

Yes, you can send certain types out specifically. To do this, pick one lead ship. Give it a unique name. Assign all the other ships to protect this lead ship. Then dock the lead ship with your carrier. The others will dock with it.

When the fighting starts, order only the leader to attack all enemies. The others will come boiling out after it, like angry bees.
