Ranks - L next to them?

Post by DeathXI » Sun, 27. Feb 11, 21:58

I can't seem to find it in the manual or stickies, or with a search (neither here nor google) So. I'm asking! What does it mean when it says like "Boron Kings Knight L" and "Teladi Company Owner L"

Does that mean my rank is going down because i haven't done things with them for a while? Or because I blew up something of theirs (like a trade convoy) while doing another mission?

It basically means you'll get paid for killing pirates, Xenon and Kha'ak in that race's sectors.

Hmm, a licensed officer is allowed to scan ships too. Sure, everybody can scan, but without license you are assumed to be a pirate up to no good, and your targets will get offended about probing.

It's always fun to scan passing traders while you're loitering in a Xenon sector in your M2.

"No license! Must be a pirate! Attack the hostile!". Attack All Enemies FAA turrets wake up, very briefly...

I find it very funny that if you buy the license at the Dukes HQ, you can shoot as many paranids you want and still keep the paranid license. Im Descecrator of holy light and I get bare P for killing the odd hostile in paranid space after Ive killed all their military ships :)
