Split Silicon Mine L gone Crazy

Post by Amel Babic » Sun, 6. Mar 11, 17:55

I bought 2 Split Silicon Mines L a few days ago and placed them in Ore Belt but after a few saves i noticed that one of them is producing just 5 Silicon Wafers and has a cycle time of 40 Minutes
The other one produces 10 SW in normal cycle time
Both Asteroids had,if I remember good,silicon yield of 64
Is that a bug or should I tow the crazy S MIne somewhere else in the sector

I think you may have put the mine on an ORE asteroid instead of a silicon asteroid.

Are they both equally funded and supported so as to get enough e-cells as and when they need them?

Are you sure they are both L mines and not one L and one M?

Otherwise I would be tempted to say they must be on different yield asteroids.

That idea never crossed my mind but it is possible
Next assignment is to self destruct that mine

FYI: if you self-destruct the mine, the asteroid won't respawn. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but (I think) you may be able to duck that problem if you destroy the mine with gunfire.

Nope, when you destroy it the asteroid is gone as well.

If you connect them to a complex , you can use them for extra storage space within the main complex.
otherwise they are just supplying residual income.

Well the Mine is toast already...
Together with the asteroid...
Thanks for the suggestions
