Nividium mining in Reunion?

Is automated Nividium mining possible in Reunion? All the Nividium mining guides I find seem to be for TC.

The Mobile Mining software (from the bonus pack) will mine & collect/trade Nividium.

iirc, the spawning mechanics are a little different though - I don't think it's quite so exploitable.

Yeah - it doesn't respawn in the same way. In X3TC since some patch or other, the small collectible rocks respawn once all collected. Never happened in X3R.

But, there are some nividium map asteroids (as in the ones that show up in the sector map). They can be blown up (use a hornet or the mining laser) and mined. And they respawn after a few game days :)

i found that the niv will dry up but after several days if you recheck the niv asteroids they have respawned but you have to rescan and break up all over again
