Mouse follow mode: turn rate
When I'm flying a ship with a good rudder (high rpm), mouse follow mode won't make full use of the ship's capable turn rate. If I use the left/right arrows on my keyboard, the ship will turn like mad, but dragging the mouse to the edge of the screen in mouse follow mode only gets the ship turning semi-fast. Is there any way to adjust this behavior? It defeats the point of buying extra rudder tunings (or overtunings) after a certain point. I'm NOT going to use the keyboard to steer, and don't want to bother with switching back and forth between a mouse and joystick.

Try editing types\Globals.txt.
Code: Select all

SG_CURSORSTEERING_DAMPING;30; // damping factor
SG_CURSORSTEERING_MAXFIREANGLE;30; // max cursor firing angle, must be < 90
