Need help on the battle in omicron lyrae

I've jumped to the sector with the mothership, i have to go near some navigational beacon on the ship but i don't know what i'm supposed to do when i get close to it. After i get there, i crash my ship when the rotating parts on the ship hit me, what am i supposed to do?

it takes a bit of practice, best u can do is dont close too fast, u need to be going slow when u hit the nav beacon or the cut-scene wont intervene.

also, salvage insurence is handy here.
