[X2] Satellites causing grey background in sector map

Post by Gazer75 » Sun, 3. Jul 11, 01:49

Hi,

Is it normal that when you're in the same sector as a satellite the map background get a brey background?
Its looking all normal if I look at a sector I am not currently in.

Try zooming out on the map. I believe the buttons for zooming in/out are Home/End.
I havnt played in a long time but if I recall correctly the grey color should indicate the range of said satellite. If you're not in the sector it will not display it.
Again it's been a very long time since I played, but this might be an explanation.

In X2, advanced sats give you a top down camera view of the sector which looks greyish. If you zoom in you can see stations etc. Normal sats dont have a camera.

You can turn that on or off using the K key while the sector map is open--least, you can in X3 and later, pretty sure it was the same in X2!
