Because obviously no matter what it will require more power because the minimum graphics will be increased. And my computer can run X3TC X-Tended with Mars on every capital ship very good (no lag for a big while since last change), but if one of there goals is to create better graphics, then it only benefits people with the computer that has computers that can run to that extremes. I, only have a 6 year old computer, and it will take 2 years until I actually have enough money to upgrade it.
Is there any way to test it now, or just see if it works next year?
Is there minimum specs for this game?

See the very first paragraph of this sticky thread at the top of the forum.
CPU: Dual core minimum, Quad core recommended. Faster the better.
Memory: 2GB
GFX: 1GB, DX9.0c compliant with shader model 3.0 support.
Sound: DX9.0c
OS: 32 Bit windows Vista, 32 bit Windows 7.
That's about all one can get/guess from the sticky. If I upgrade my OS on this box to win7-32bit I'm fairly sure I could play the game. Need to ditch this pre-SP1 copy (made in 2001) of XP anyway.
