What Is In The Earth Sector Now?

Ok here comes the silly part... You ready? Ok here we go. In X3AP what is in the Earth Sector because I cannot find anything but in the lower right hand corner of the map I find some ships flying around but when I follow them I al lead to nowhere. & why was Torus destroyed in the process of the laser guns

There is nothing there but the remains of the torus.
