Question about repairing your ship

Post by TomatoAE » Sat, 14. Jan 12, 21:31

So I went downstairs while my hyperion was doing a system scan and came back to find it 75% destroyed.... I have no interest in holding the mouse or control for 1hr

I have seen several posts about using SETA while in your spacesuit but I don't have one installed

(Albion)

What is the best way to repair my ship in the vanilla game without scripts or mods?

so...
install one?

put SETA on suit
put lead on ctrl key
Just saying it forward: I give everyone 2 posts to make good, in context posts(proper english, as always, is optional). After that I'm ignoring what you have to say in that thread that's directed to what we previously were talking about.

You eject the SETA device from one of your ships while in space then collect it using your space suit.

This means you have to buy a new one for the ship, since you can't remove equipment from a space suit.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

This is an incredibly helpful tip.
My previous technique consisted into putting a book on my mouse button and let the repair go while I was reading another book :)

BIG THING to Remember:

@ SETA x10 you have <= 12m before you must reenter a ship
@ SETA x6 you have <= 20m before you must reenter a ship

Also, the SETA extension ceases to exist when you enter a ship.

Dock at a shipyard and pay to have it repaired. I'll patch up a fighter or touch up some Mass Driver damage with the repair laser, but 200,000-300,000 points of damage? It's not worth the hassle.

Funny it took this many responses to get to the most obvious answer!
