Anyone else annoyed by the highest rank for trade and combat?

I think the highest rank should be something more grandiose than "X-TREME". Sounds like a short-lived energy drink.

And yeah yeah, "X" universe and all, but still..

Not really; I like that it's a tongue in cheek reference to the game, universe and the fact that it's the highest rank. Just imagine you're Senior Lord High Admiral of [insert faction name]'s Navy if you're not happy with it.

It is a little tacky, but the series is 10 years old and the term is only used for the two maximum ranks.

I agree with bwf. It helps if you grew up in the 90's. :p

As is anything x-whatever or e-whatever or my-whatever or i-whatever. eXtreme would have been only slightly less annoying.
