Stock exchanges are insanely unblanced

Post by Avatar100400 » Mon, 23. Jan 12, 19:54

Hay guys i was wondering i other think the stock exchange is stupidly unbalanced. In less than 20 i have made 20 million credits. As i read a day ago egosoft patched this but there seems to be no change.

Incase u want to know how i got this money i buy company stock at 18-28 then wait in seta to sell it at PTNI headquarters.

In the beginning, yeah, it's imbalanced.

However, later on in the game, as the indexes begin to fluctuate and you have more investment opportunities (factories and traders), not so much.

As it's a sand box game why not just use the features and benefits you like and ignore the rest. After all when you go for a meal in a restaurant and you are given the menu, do you have to eat every item on it?

Even if it's unbalanced, noone on the entire planet is forcing you to use it.

Money is easy to come by in X3, via any route. I have over a billion credits now, with quite possibly a similar in-game time as you (assuming you've used SETA a lot while timing the stock market).

The difference is that I now have multiple complexes churning out supplies and goods, a pile of universal, sector, and commodities traders to move those supplies and goods, and a medium sized (and growing) war fleet (which consume a lot of those supplies) - and I had a lot more fun (most likely) building up that empire than staring at the stock market screen waiting for the price to rise to my "sell" point.

The fun of the game comes from how you choose to earn and spend your money - it's ridiculously easy to earn money in significant quantities via any route you choose to go, whether that be playing the stock market, missioning, piracy, or trading and complex building.

How long does it take you with no SETA then?

I just learned how to use the stock market because I was SETA'ing around exploring. The market is not broken if you don't use SETA. It is quite slow. If you SETA then it moves quickly and becomes rather easy.

If you don't like it don't use it. Some of us hate starting off poor and want to get a trading fleet going early and this finances it.
