I'm rather curious as well. I saw it in my game a couple times but was not in a fast enough ship to follow it.

Its been in all the X3 games. Maybe even games before X3.

It flies around and goes nowhere.

There are legends of a secret UFO base somwhere on the Western edge or SW area of the X3 universe. I even think there was a picture of it posted on the forum somewhere.

I'm hoping perhaps in X3AP the UFO mystery will be finally resolved.

its an 'easter egg' that has been in the games since atleast X2 maybe X-T

it serves no purpose other than to be amusing, though if you attach a fast ship to follow it it will automatically explore the universe for you

It's UFO, nothing new, really, just use Advanced forum search, you'll find hundreds of posts.

And remove those huge images before moderators do, maximum image size is 640x480, read forum stickies.

And really, one picture is more then enough, we've all seen that thing already.

Until recognision (or what) i thought the "unknown" ships are khaah so i had them in global command set to hostile lol So i killed all without even see one ;p

by accident i realsied what i done and they are back in my Reunion universe... n to others aswell ;p
X to X3 is MENU SUPERIOR!
I think Egosoft has already worked out our doom, because Xenon AI will reach the stars! :D

Ive seen a few in reunion and 1 in TC never tried to follow it though it goes 300ms and i can never keep up lol

I found it today...I was like wtf? Maybe it'll lead me some where cool...when that didn't happen, I reverted to plan A and blasted it into dust. Not even a crate! What a crappy egg.
