[xtc] M1 (changed the question)
Ok. I've got 50M, and I want to buy an M7. I've been leaning towards the Deimos as it has good firepower, shielding and can hold 6 ships. Which would you say is the best M7 for fighting in general, but mainly against capitals? (Example: Killing a J in X101 with others firing at you, but you have a fleet of M3's around too).
Thanks
Thanks

When anything is recommended so clearly, my first reaction is to stubbornly do something entirely different.EspritFort wrote:Get the Panther. And if somebody tells you to get another ship - get the Panther.
I might do that too, for currently I'm clearing Xenon sectors with Panther: hands down and without fighters. That is almost boring.

I prefer the tiger for a capitol ship killer. It's fast, maneuverable and packs a nasty punch, especially when you charge up the IBCs.
*edit* but as far as XTC, I am still waiting for 2.0 to come out before getting it again.. I want those plot missions!

even without PSG's (which I dont use because they are annoying) Aggamemnon can bring 12 IBL's + 8 main guns on target + it has 6 gj shields so it is a decent frigate (I still prefer Shrike though)KloHunt3r wrote:PSGs are noobtubes.Raize wrote:Go capture an Agamemnon and laugh at panther n00bz.
Real players use a Thresher because PPCs take skill.
and springy is still better than all your silly frigates

Wow, this is annoying.
As it can only dock at big stations, I have to use freight drones / M3's. Problem is, things I want can be XL (Example: 1GJ Shields) but neither of them can hold that size. My M7 cannot dock TS/TP ships either.
Not sure what I'll do next, but I'm going to change the question.
What is the best M1 ship to get? They can dock larger ships, and they're also powerful.
Thanks

I rather use a TS and Transporter Device. Sure, it cannot dock into M1/M7, but it is still a versatile tool and refuel system.
@pr0nflakes: X3AP (aka the nerf) is irrelevant in this thread.
IMO a front turret is more flexible than the fixed front mount. Then again, I find the side turrets pathetic, because by the time that they have finally turned to shoot at a target in front of the ship, the front turret has already done a lion's share.
M1 is about fighter action. As I said before, that is not my cup of tea (at the moment).

If you're using the XTC mod you're best off asking in the XTC topic as balance will be different from normal X3TC.Aidyer wrote:Not sure what I'll do next, but I'm going to change the question.
