[AP] Location of Weapons for Springblossom???
Hi Guys,
Still a noob but starting to get to grips with things a bit more now. Complex is in hold though whilst I upgrade all my ST/LT's to Split Drakes.
Just got my hands on the Springblossom and I'm loving it's speed and maneuverability. Best ship I've had in my playthrough of Albion Prelude so far and only 100 hours in
I have so far found the Prototype Electro-Magnetic Plasma Cannon Forge in Aldrin 2 but can't find anywhere that stocks the:
P-AML Prototype Matter/AntiMatter Launcher
P-STAR Prototype Starburst cannon
From what I am reading on here (albeit mostly for Terran Conflict) I should really be outfitting my ship with these two weapons. I'm happy to wait a while and keep checking wherever sells them if necessary but not even geing able to find anyplace that does sell them is rather annoying.
Please can somebody point me in the right direction.
Thanks guys!

You may have to do some exploring around that huge asteroid in Aldrin. There are a bunch of places that sell P-MAMLs and P-SSCs there, but you have to discover the factories or installations that sell them before they will show up in the encyclopedia. There are lots of stations in Aldrin, but finding them all can be tricky due to its immense size.

Prototype Starburst Shockwave Cannons, 1 each in the left and right turrets, and 2 in the back (more than that will hammer the weapon generator too hard in my experience).DrHarvey12 wrote:Thanks guys.
What do most of you use in the turrets on a Springblossom?
Then a mix of your choice of Matter/Antimatter Launchers or Experimental Electromagnetic Plasma Cannons in the main bank, and you should be ready to rumble.
EDIT: Meh, I was so busy looking at the stats for the Hayabusa I missed all the other replies to that question

What use are the EMPC's?
It seems like the PM/AML Launchers are the best bet for smaller M5 / M4 fighters.
I assume the PSSC's are for larger ships.
The EMPC's seem as though they are reasonably fast and likely to hit but don't do too much damage so are they best in the rear for missile defence?
So far I've gone with 4 x EMPC's & 4 x PM/AML Launchers in the main bank.
1 x PSSC in the Left & Right Turret.
2 x PSSC's in the rear.
I've set the L/R turrets to attack my target. What should I set the two PSSC's in the rear to do?
Protect my ship? Anti-missile defence though I doubt they're much good for that. Putting the EMPC's in the back and setting to missile defence might be better???
I really tend not to go for capital ships and the sraps I tend to have are mostly for M5 to M3's and maybe the odd M6 very occasionally.
Any tips much appreciated guys.

PSSCs are like Flak, fly past any fighter and it'll go pop quickly enough.
PMAMLs really for hitting bigger targets, M8/M6 and upwards. Smaller ships are a waste of ammo.
EEMPCs are for dogfighting when you don't want to use the warheads.
I'd just stick turrets on Attack Enemies, Missiles are irrelevant to a Springy.
Missile defence in a Springy = TurboBoost!

Do you miss dangerous pirates?
Try leading the target a little more...

springy can kill literally anything PM/AML's have good damage and being ammo-based can fire for as long as they have ammo, given huge cargo-hold that springy had you wont run out of ammo
PM/AML's shred corvette's and are quite effective against frigate's, as for the turrets given increased energy regen in AP you can fit all 6 PSSC into turrets and you will rarely run out of energy and even if you do in regenerates in a matter of seconds, also since PSSC are flak I put them all on missile defense, if you can be bothered than go to custom turret setting and optimize them in a way you see fit, and yes EEMPC are pointless for a ship that has ammo-based main weapon + huge cargo-hold

So I should be getting the MK turboboost 1 & 2?Ripskar wrote:PSSCs are like Flak, fly past any fighter and it'll go pop quickly enough.

They're about 25 million for the pair which is why I haven't bothered so far but now with a Springblossom I suppose it could be worth it.
PSSC's just look a bit like a star shooting away (or a cross). They seem to move quite slowly though so will the turrets hit anything?
If I put 8 PM/AML in the front can I get away with 6 PSSC's in the turrets?
Thanks for all the replies guys. Think I'm almost ready to release this on some Xenon in Grand Exchange
I dunno...I took out a Q with those on an SB....EEMPC are pointless for a ship that has ammo-based main weapon + huge cargo-hold
The SB is already one of the fastest M6s in the game.
Adding TB to it might be good for those who want max speed at all times, but for me as trader, I have as yet not deployed TB on my ships.
As you point out ,it is an expensive luxury.
I would be more inclined to fit TB to my M1s and M2s.
Perhaps utility TLs like Elephant and Ryu.

Mk 1, (Mk 2 is for M1/M2/M7/TL)DrHarvey12 wrote:So I should be getting the MK turboboost 1 & 2?Ripskar wrote:PSSCs are like Flak, fly past any fighter and it'll go pop quickly enough.

Thanks - if it's just the MK1 I need then that is only 1.8m so that's not too bad. The speed might be a bit overkill but on assassination missions sometimes extra speed is useful.
Cheers TTD - I might keep the 4 EMPC's I have installed in the front for the time being then
I'll just go back for 2 more PSSC's to fill up the rear turret next time I'm in that general area.
