Wingmen/escorts

Is there no way to get me wingmen to fly straight? I am moving along in a straight line and they are going crazy behind me. i feel like it would not be difficult to make the match speed and heading. Is this too much to ask? is it not just a simple coding issue?

If they flew straight they might not hit every gate, asteroid, and passing ship. Can't have that now, can we? Just chalk it up to space fuel and it becomes a tolerable addition to lore.

You forgot to add in space flies and space weed to the mix. But, yeah that is an area that really needs some work.

To be fair I do pay them in space weed.. I guess those are the breaks.

Come on devs if you are not going to fix the problem at least tell us why? why can i match my speed to another ship but other ships cant match their speed to mine? when I autopilot follow a ship i dont do a crazy dance right behind them the whole time. I sit there in a nice little spot right behind them.

tbh its more like they got into the space acid :shock:

my group of Teladi destroyers and frigates are trying to imitate a massive tornado slamming into a scrapyard. its kinda funny at first but i really would like it to stop :lol:

I think part of the problem is that the script most of the time does not match speeds with wing man very well and add to the problem that 250 m (for fighters) distance is a bit to close when they have diffrent speeds. The distance should have been a little bit farther away and with a variable distance to sit in before reducing speed as turning does not seem wise to me somedays. :shock:
