Argon One in Herron's Nebula.

I'm playing vanilla TC with all plots completed.

I jumped into Herron's Nebula to rescue one of my traders from a pirate just in time to see Argon One do the job for me on it's way back to A. Prime through the south gate.

Has anyone else seen Argon One beyond Argon Prime? I thought it was restricted to that system.

A couple of times now.

I think there was a thread some while back about it being stuck at the east gate of President's End.

They may have changed the sector restrictions in the same patch where they removed its invincibility.

Funny I saw this thread, because just yesterday I saw Argon One and thought "Hey, I should board and take that ship!"

Can it be taken?

:O When was this? All this time I've been under the impression it was invincible since the first time I got a M7M I tried nuking it...

I saw the Argon One almost get blown to bits by a measly little pirate M8. It was down to about 14% without even scratching the pirate or his M5 escorts.

It was only my heroic rescue that stopped it from being space dust.

Now I'm a fairly new player, so I wasn't sure just how significant an event the destruction of the Argon One would be, but it sure seemed hyped up as the most powerful Argon ship available by my onboard computer, so it was quite a surprise to me.

Argon One, In Reunion, was a plot-needed ship, so it had Plot Armor making it invulnerable.

In TC, it isn't Plot-necessary, so about 4 patches back (or so) it lost it's plot armor. I son't have AP, so I can't say anything about it there.

As for boarding/Destroying: Possible for both. In the event of either, it's replaced, tho if baorded, it's just a named version of it's standard class ship.
