and they have had almost 1000 years to terraform Aldrin, why are they all still sitting around a giant rock?

because you cant terraform a rock.
Just saying it forward: I give everyone 2 posts to make good, in context posts(proper english, as always, is optional). After that I'm ignoring what you have to say in that thread that's directed to what we previously were talking about.

Aldrin was terraformed at one point, apparently (just checked the X encyclopedia. Apparently they did it in six years. :o ). Maybe the model's just horrible because it'd kill the game even more than it already does if it was properly detailed, or maybe the #deca's fleet was preoccupied with keeping their insane siblings at bay and the Aldrinners safe rather than fixing the damage.
Allergic to work.

If at first you don't succeed, delegate the job to a minion.

The planet you can see in Aldrin 2 is Aldrin, the Aldrin system's huge rock is just a huge rock; it's not big enough to be terraformed.

Nope the Planet in Aldrin 2 is Armstrong, as it is a desert planet.

Aldrin is a blue planet, describes as beeing very earth like. So neither aldrin 2's desert planet nor aldrin's rock can be the planet aldrin :)

Aldrin is not that rock its a proper earth-like planet (according to X-encyclopedia)

Yes, i also  'd pretty hard at that. very blunt, very Catra :D

EDIT: meh, I forgot to add my on topic bit

I recently read all of Nuklear Slugs DiDs again, and he mentions in one of them that he thought the planet Aldrin had been destroyed at some point. I don't know if that's canonical, or if it's been listed on a fan site at any point, but if it were it would perhaps explain Aldrin's huge mineral stocks (lots of leftover debris). The big rock though...that I'm not so convinced of.

That's what I get for posting based solely on my fuzzy recollection of Aldrin 2's description. Whoops!

Isn't Aldrin 2 over the actual Aldrin planet?
