althou, you are already being told for all games, you must have a pc, a graphic card that is capable of a certain shader, and windows with a certain directx version

I have to agree with Naroku about the Steam nonsense.. X2 to TC did not have crappy steam nonsense.. Just a nice box and epic disc ! old school I guess.. something tangible in my hands.. and the buzz of reading the manual(LOL) or rear of case while the GF drives home hahah

and that I can also place patches on a disc so I dont have to re-download stuff and SLOW steam speeds

An edit made in line with the OP's request has made Steam debate responses redundant as well as already irrelevant to X3AP suggestions.
