Keris vs Fighter Drone II

I was thinking aboutr building either a keris complex or mk2 drones, ai never really used anything besides standard fighter drones so i would like some opinion on this.
I don't care about profits, what i care about is combat effectiveness.

In flight the MkII has the upper hand;
MkII 200 m/s with 2 PAC, vs 180 m/s with 1 EMPC.
Production is another matter as a Kerris Factory will produce 25 per hour whilst an Advanced Drone factory produces 4 per hour.
Do you miss dangerous pirates?
Try leading the target a little more...

Yeah i saw that when i plugged in the faps into Xadrian.
Im always thought that Keris was the superior one, because of the "superior terran tech" thing. :roll:

Time to build some Advanced drone fabs then.

actually I find the best results is to have mix of both. The Mk2 gets to target faster so the enemy tries to shoot at the faster ships but I think the keris is more accurate and theirfor does more damage.

But are you really using drones to do the damage ?

In the early days I used to keep a TL full of drones as the nuclear option should my home sector get attacked but that’s long gone, mass khaak invasions are a thing of the past.

I find the MK1 drones (400m/s) far more effective at keeping the enemy busy firing it’s turrets ineffectively or chasing the drones round in circles.

The Mk1 are considerably harder to hit but the Mk2 have 8 times the punch...
