So, they require a piece of contraband...
Either or....
So, I went and ahem acquired 4 space weed, and went to the exchange.

When I docked, it said - they require one of the following...

I clicked on 4 Space Weed

And - nothing happened, the message vanished, the weed stayed in my cargo bay, and I wasn't allowed to trade (I have traded at Teladi exchanges so I know when it's unlocked).

So, I undocked and tried again about ten times and each time I got the message and each time I clicked on the weed option, and each time it didn't allow anything!

Any ideas anyone?

id go find space fule, or squash-mines and try them. asside from that, no idea

It's a typo, they actually want 14 units of Weed, same as Space Fuel.
Do you miss dangerous pirates?
Try leading the target a little more...

OK that's interesting...

I loaded up with 100 weed, and tried - and lo and behold, they allowed me to trade - and they took ! just 4 WEED !

OK so this is interesting, I tried 4, 5, 6, 7 and found that you have to go along with 7 units and they will take 4 from you!
If you have less than 7, they won't accept you.

Wonder if it works similar with the other things?
