[TC] Attacked By Ship: Unknown Object with ID: <invalid>CX-54

This has happened a couple of times now, different IDs both times. Both attacks have been in Neptune. Trader's response in both cases has been to unload fighter drones and jump to Hub sector.

Attacks happen within scanner range of other ships but I can't see anything on scanner, or jumping into Neptune, so perhaps drones or locals trash the offending ship before I get there.

Anyone any ideas what this Unknown object could be? I've completed Hub plot and have the invite to start HQ plot, so am a long way into this game and I didn't think there was any other race to find.

probably you installed some mod and you didn't do the job well and that is causing you problems

probably some text files are missing

No mods. Still vanilla with bonus pack

Sounds like a corrupt game install. If this is Steam X3TC then do a Steam verify gamefiles cache for it. Otherwise try downloading and installing patch 1.01-3.2 over the top of your existing DVD game.
