Buying weapons

Hey guys

its me confused as usual haha. ive been to multiple stations around the terran/commonwealth trying to find missiles that i can buy for my elite. but every stations i go either has red ones i cant buy. or poltergeist missiles which i cant use

And also im trying to figure were to buy and what lasers/other weaponry to put on my elite

if you already own the elite, check the info window, it will telll you which missiles are compatible, then you can check the encyclopedia for each missile/laser so you know where to buy them and what race rank you need to buy them. dont waste time in terran space lookinf for commonwealth wares and vice-versa

If the items you're trying to buy are red, then either they don't fit in your cargo bay (which is actually impossible for an Elite, because it has L class cargo capacity and there are no missiles bigger than that), or your reputation with the race isn't high enough to buy them. This is pretty likely given that you've only just started and it requires a reasonably high reputation to buy weaponry.

You have two options to get missiles:
a) Do missions and trade until your race rank is high enough to purchase them.
b) Scoop up missiles left over after battles.

ok well i think ive miss spoke. the problem isnt exactly finding them, its that each station i go to that does have "compatible" missiles. i cant buy them, i have the credits.

but when i hit the arrow to buy on my keyboard. it doesnt buy them. it says theres 1 or 2 instock

Is your cargo bay full?
Do you have a high enough race reputation?

no the cargo bay is not full and yes i have the reputation

You hit "Enter" after choosing the amount you want to buy, right?
If you are, forgive me, but that's the only thing I can think of right now

theres a picture, in the picture im at the argon equipement dock in omicron lyrea and im hitting the right arrow key ( which buys ) on the missile highlighted and its not purchasing. so im not sure what im missing here, probably something simple, but i know silkworms are compatible with my elite

What's missing are the missiles. There are none in stock
