[TC]Is OTAS Argon?

Just a quick simple question about the OTAS corp. I'm playing an Argon ships only game and I'm wondering if OTAS is "Argon" enough to qualify. It seems to be the only corp with its own ships, and the descriptions tend to lean toward Argon. So, is OTAS Argon or is it an entirely different and separate entity? What do you think?

It most definitely is. Though I can't remember if they were shipbuilders like Atreus (for the Boron) or military suppliers like Strong Arms (Split?) is.

they are argon and at the same time they are Shipbuilders, Military suppliers and their own PMC (Private Military Company)

A little of both, but they're sufficiently an Argon corporation that they're listed under Argon in the encyclopedia in game. I tend to treat them as the research division of the Argon.

always loved the looks of the OTAS ship, i have a completly armed Bores as my main ship

If the Borias and the Mistral/MSF weren't such awesome statted ships, I'd probably never own more than 1 of each.


When I 1st got them, I liked them tons, in the sense they were unique looking.


Now, imo, I Hate the look, but atm, I own about 30 Borias' in my current game. Their Speed more than makes up for looks

XRM v1.20 is a completly different mod! lol it uses cadius's mistrel models which are meant to look less goner and more utilitarian and industrial.
