[AP] Player fleets and invasion: what is it purpose?

[AP] Player fleets and invasion: what is it purpose?

This is a simple inquiry: is the fleet invasion feature useful?

I recently created a fleet and launched a sector invasion. Then, I witnessed my ships targeting everything: friends and foes alike... Of course, I don't what that, I just want to get rid of the enemy ships and stations.

Therefore, why should I use this feature instead of "Attack all enemy" ?

Well there comes a point in a usually modded version of X3 that the player says "[Insert swear word] it, I'm gonna kill every race and bring them to their knees." Yep there you go ;)

So, the option to **** them all in a end game ?

Uhm I don't think its solely for that but it does make clearing a hostile sector easier I guess.
