Now you can see why the Devs have decided to write the X-Rebirth Engine from scratch. The Complex Construction Kit introduced in X3:R was a slap patch that caused more performance and interface issues than it ultimately offered.

Imagine how much easier it will be to start off with a base station, and with a few simple clicks of a modular upgrade, add in ore refining capacity.
