I'm not positive if this goes here, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the OOS combat that goes on in war sectors. I'm playing the Terran Commander start and am only purchasing Terran ships/factories. Occasionally I have to move ships through Asteroid belt + Jupiter, but it's starting to get a bit frustrating:
I can clear out the sector before hand, but as soon as I leave a swarm always spawns and attacks any remaining ships. I just tried to escort a baldric through Asteroid Belt, and went into the Accelerator not even 2 seconds before my baldric did. Once I arrived on the other side I got a message that my baldric was destroyed by a centaur...
Is there some way to prevent things like this from happening without modding my game (I'm playing Vanilla)?
Also, does Egosoft have any plans to improve the Terran side of things? I know TC start is pretty much Very Hard mode, but I would at least like the option to build Sheild Factories. It's rather difficult to build a fleet to take Omicron Lyrae when I have to keep searching the solar system for shields.

Unfortunately it is well-known that the vanilla war simulation in the conflict sectors has invaders and defenders respawn as soon as the Player jumps out. Apparently that method was chosen to prevent the Player observing as the sector and stations changes hands if that is about to happen. It is also the case in conflict sectors that your ships can be attacked by either or both sides while you are OOS regardless of your rep with them.
Have a look at previous posts in two of several similar threads, here and here. I will move this to the Universe forum as this known situation is not going to get a Tech Sp solution but might see improvements in any future X3AP patch

I managed to set up a satellite network in Argon war sectors and now I observe the following behavior:
1) The enemy spawn depends on your ships in the sector. If you bring in some M1 and M2, the game starts spawning Osakas and Tokyos. Fortunately, it doesn't count laser towers and you can block the gates with about 50 laser towers per gate placed at ~5km from it. The spawn happens regardless of how high your reputation is.
2) The next bunch of ships is spawned immediately after the last red ship is destroyed.
3) Player assets are priority targets compared to any regular opposition in that sector.
That means traversing war zone with your baldrics is not an option. I was able to set up a dedicated chocaro CAG to trade there though and its survival rate is OK. I only replaced 2 of them so far in several game days. It is supported by ~50 LT / gate in Circle of Labor, Omicron Lyrae, Treasure Chest and Elysium of Light.
