Wing Man and Wings

So i was flying from sector to sector with my wing and wing men following me. I was the first to jump through and then all my ships following me disappeared from my properties list.... any ideas why?

If you had just jumped out of an X3AP war sector then they were probably pounced on by combatants taking over the sector by spawning right by the gate as you jumped out. Other than that the crystal ball is rather murky today. What happened to/killed them should be in your Player log though.
