Capping the truelight seeker
Hello, can someone tell me how can i claim the truelight seeker using the script editor, because training marines is taking too long and i want to get past this mission already. I also tryed to claim the ship manualy but it seems the old bug has been fixed.
Will this affect the steam achievement earning progress?
I'm new with the script editor and i didn't had the time to understand its features.

Theoretically you dont need to cap it. I think after you kill the escort you can just get out and claim it as normal. Boarding or attempting to drop shields will make it move and hostile IIRC. If thats the bug you're referring to I know it's not fixed on the non steam version but I dont know if it was on the Steam patch list.

No, it hasn't. Steam version and DVD version are identical in that point. Only difference between the two versions (atm) is the language patch (3.2a) that added support for different languages.

Well, if you want the script... Here you go.
Everything in parynthesies with asterisks is a comment about how to create the code and should not be included in the script. As for everything else, include it.
The code:
001 $aim (**select "variable" and type in "aim" to make "$aim" appear in the code**)= get player tracking aim (**this is under "Fly Commands" section**)
002 $aim -> set owner race to (**first, select your "aim" variable off the list. then find "Set Owner Race To"' which is under "General Objects Commands". Then, click the next question mark on that line, go to "select race", and choose the name of your pilot**)
Just in case that was confusing with all the comments (and I always have to be thorough), the final code should look like this:
001 $aim= get player tracking aim
002 $aim-> set owner race to YourRace
That's it. You're done with the scripting.
Now save your script, close the SE, target the Truelight Seeker, open up SE, highlight the script that you created, and press R. When a menu pops up asking for you to select a ship, station, or anything else, press "null". Now, sit back and watch the epic magic happen.

You want something from me? Are you empty of the mind?
Re: Capping the truelight seeker
I could not capture the ship manually as well. But I used 2 untrained boarding parties (5 men each) and captured it. Just make sure each party has 2 mechanics (40-50) skill and at least 1 hackerthe ultimate warrior wrote:Hello, can someone tell me how can i claim the truelight seeker using the script editor, because training marines is taking too long and i want to get past this mission already.
