[X3TC] Trying to set TM as wingman

I'm about to do a boarding operation and going to use 2 TPs, 2 TMs loaded with eight M3s, and my personal Centaur. I've only ever used TMs for OOS partrols and defense before, but since I've discovered the Zephyrus and some of its insane capabilities I want to bring them with me as missile platforms and fighter defense. There is no option in their command menu to set as wingmen, am I missing something?

I had another question about this situation as well, but I think the wine has done its job.

Only fighters have wing commands. The best thing to do is order them to defend a position and they'll hold that line while you deal with the target at hand.
