[AP] Laser Tower

So I'm Argon and I am trying to make it so that when the terran use the circle of labor -> Omicron Lyrae gate they get a face melting welcome from some lasertowers. How many would you estimate would it take to melt an Osaka or Tokyo?

I wouldn't recommend dropping any towers as they will probably get destroyed before they can deploy their weapons. :)
If it doesn't work, give it a kick. If that doesn't fix it hit it with a hammer. If it still doesn't work, USE A BIGGER HAMMER!!!

Wow, that post is much more involved than my puny spreadsheet.

I figured it takes 539 shots from a PBG to take down an Osaka. So 50 would mean you melt an Osaka in ~6 seconds (fires 1.67 shots a second).

So... 50 x 150,000 (7.5 mil) for the laser towers vs ~100 mil for the Osaka

my money is on the towers :D

Weren'ttowers upgraded in Albion so they are actually useful now?

They were indeed. They make great anti-capital defences now. In the right numbers of course. A single tower is still pretty useless on it's own against M7 and up. :)
