From what I understand, reading the initial release views, the game is gorgeous, but it's not what sim fans would have wanted to see from Microsoft, which has a good history of producing good flightsim games. This one just "isn't it" in terms of a next-gen flightsim, even if it's pretty.

I enjoyed Battelfront EA on PS4 for quite a bit. I think it's more of a console game, these days, than the old BFII, which I always enjoy.

IMO - It's worth a buy. It's easy to play, so long as one doesn't mind first/third person shooters, and it's good for a decent amount of gameplay time as one progresses in rank. (At least, it used to be. Dunno how it is these days.)

BUT, the inevitable player-shrinking new version is going to come out soon. So, all more active BFEA players will migrate to BFEA2, leaving a few hardcore BFEA players and a slew of casual players that may not be able to either compete very well or will be left with low population problems.

It's still worth the buy, though.

These sorts of "freebies" confuse me, sometimes, the way they're worded. Is it "free until" or "free to play until?"

Either way, it's a great game.

I think this one might only be free to play this weekend--I think it would say "Buy for free" rather than "play for free" if that was different. We'll see tomorrow when the "free" version stops working or not, I guess!
