Xenon Hub/PHQ ?
So having now finished the Xenon HUb mission im left feeling totaly deflated ;(
What was the point in it ?
I thought you got your own system, which you dont.
Im left with what looks like a phq in the middle of a giant complex thingy. Can someone please tell me why i went to sooo much trouble to get this.

This is not your PHQ.
You get that mission 6 game hours after the Hub,iirc
Effectively, the Hub is your own sector, but the official owned sector comes with the ANH (A New Home) plot.
If playing AP CW Plots,
then the PHQ comes from the Teladi, along with the Unfocused JumpDrive
If playing the AP Terran plots then you get the PHQ at the end of the plot line.
You don't get your own sector in Vanilla AP
The Hub is very useful for shortening distances and diverting traffic to your advantage.
It is also a very useful player EQ Dock/warehouse

X3TC Info: The Hub plot is a necessary step to be able to start the plot that gets you the PHQ. Other plots are needed for the New Home sector plot.

The PHQ does much different things to the Hub and even stores things in a different way. You will appreciate this when you have both.
Oh and you decide where to put the PHQ!

If you played the latest version of TC,then the Hub plot was easy compared to first release
When complete, you have three pairs of gates that place the Hub between two connecting adjacent sectors.
Favorite examples are Getsu Fune and the ANH sector, (if you put your PHQ there),when you have it.
So you build your fleet at your PHQ,and get your all EQs at Getsu Fune.
The third one could be any that you like...eg a quick route to your next invasion.

Answer
SpongeBobSpacepants, I appreciate immediate access to all the resources available at your stations, and having my own bases spread across the whole expanse of TC. Selling the MCs from your bases can be a good source of $ too.
You did ask the right question, Was it worth the effort? I ask that every time I do it !
Good Luck !
