How much ammo is in 1 crate of EBC? Say i buy 1000 crates, is that 1000 bullets or is there 1000 in each crate for example.

Im not to sure on the exact number but I think its a few hundred per crate...

I think all ammo is the same, one crate (qty: 1 on the market) = 200 bullets (200 actual shots).

The first crate that reaches your ship hold automatically gets loaded into the guns that you have installed (so 200 shots / 8 guns = 25 shots shown in the weapons UI per gun). If you put in more than one crate, the weapons UI will show the total shots for each weapon, but your weapons "consume" the first crate immediately upon loading.

EDIT: Matter-antimatter warheads may be 1 shot per crate.

Nope, all crates are 1 crate = 200 shots, regardless of which of the four ammo weapons it's for. (Mass Driver, Energy Bolt Chaingun, Gauss Cannon, Matter/Anti-Matter Launcher)

Given the ammo consumption of the EBC, only mount it on ships that can carry at least 50-100 crates, so that's M3+ and bigger.
