Need to adjust mouse sensitivity

Post by Mantaray52 » Mon, 26. Nov 12, 18:39

I want to play X3:TC on my laptop with a touchpad because I am in a bed where I do not have room for a mouse. I've been looking through piles of posts on mouse speed and sensitivity, but none of them seem to resolve their issue, or really address my issue. Using the touchpad, the mouse sensitivity is such that a full swipe of the pad barely crosses the crosshairs. I have to swipe like mad to reach menus etc. Using a USB mouse works a bit better, but as I said, I don't have that option. Windows mouse sensitivity has no effect. Performance of the system is not an issue (see dxdiag). I have tried the vsync options etc. that were recommended for pre 2.5 Reunions mouse issues just hoping, but that was no help. I just need to know how to adjust the internal mouse sensetivity for X3:TC. Isn't there an ini file somewhere or something like that?

Unfortunately not as far as I know. Given your situation, you might consider using a USB trackball which may overcome your available footprint issue. I cannot guarantee what the sensitivity or stability will be like in-game though so I would try to borrow one to try it out if you can before buying one.

As an aside, you can update your RealTek chipset HD Audio sound driver from the RealTek site.

Thank you for the trackball idea. I hadn't thought of that (I usually think of them as old school).
