Well, he managed to get away with it for a surprisingly long time! I guess he thought because he was nicking his scripts from minor Youtube channels and altering them slightly that no-one would notice.Morkonan wrote: Wow... That's pretty darn dumb. How in the word did the guy think he could virtually copy someone else's review and slap his name on it?

Kevin Spacey movie earns just 126 dollars during its debut
That's right - $126.
That's like, considering today's movie prices, like two people went to see it? So, his mom and some guy who got lost are the only people who actually ended up in the theater?

They probably even made a deal with insurers and backers.
It probably will never see DVD because then they'd have to cut the write off.
Sure fire absolute flop? Just too good a setup if you ask me.
Which concidering was probably $126 more than the company wanted as seening how the star is blacklisted the theaters it debut in were no doubt multiplexes and most likely only one theater didn't get the word and actually sold tickets. Two thing scream "write off": First is Verical Entertainment and second they covered themselves with the press release; https://ew.com/movies/2018/06/19/kevin- ... ease-date/That's right - $126.

It is already really unlikely, the one positiv aspect about alcohol drinks is that they are usually high on calories, so maybe they helped by giving her energy to burn? I don't know.RegisterMe wrote:That was my first thought too Chips, but if she was that drunk how likely is it that she would have lasted ten hours in the water?

If you are going to fall off the back of a boat, into the sea, miles from anywhere, SCIENTISTS advise that you get completely shitfaced first

The unpositive aspect is that they cause flushing, dilation of the blood vessels, which promote hypothermia as well as reduce the body's response to core temperature loss... Ungood stuff. If the water was in the 80's, she could have easily survived that long. (The temp range looks possible for that, from what I could find in general.)clakclak wrote:It is already really unlikely, the one positiv aspect about alcohol drinks is that they are usually high on calories, so maybe they helped by giving her energy to burn? Excellent point. It had to be released to be eligible for the claim and a limited release in very viable markets that actually do get frequent limited release flicks is the way to go. Good one. They can say they made an "effort." That's one thing about productions - They get to hide under temporary production companies that can basically get away with anything.Hank001 wrote:...Sure fire absolute flop? Two people got stuck in forest wildfire, filmed trying to get out in a car, which they had to abandon and walk into a lake before being picked up by a boat.
Film is very intense, you can feel the fear.

One of the problems with big fires like that, even with a lake, is just the darn heat. Lungs will scorch before the water boils... Though, at least it's a big "firebreak" to use to get away from the flames.
One of the saddest thing to see is a burned out car that had obviously been full of passengers trying to escape a forest-fire. A wrong turn and it's "game over." People always feel safer in a car and some people delay evacuating because they think they can drive through the thing that's... forcing people to evacuate. The same happens with people in a snowstorm, too. Nature can be scary darn stuff and doesn't care how great your car's heater is.
On a separate note, along the lines of something I posted above, a new "Ancient City" discovered in 'Murica!
Kansas Lost City of Etzanoa
"...Using freshly translated documents written by the Spanish conquistadors more than 400 years ago and an array of high-tech equipment, Blakeslee located what he believes to be the lost city of Etzanoa, home to perhaps 20,000 people between 1450 and 1700....

So, when will they become available for non-block-chain-miners? :/burger1 wrote:It looks like the next gen of nvidia cards are coming out.

Maybe there will be a glut of "old" vidtech cards on the market after the mining guys have dumped all theirs in favor of this one?
When are they going to really solve this issue with bulk production of mining cards? Yeah, I know, there are some available, but not enough to suit demand and they can sell these for more money... /conspiracytheory
