Terran HQ Location

Post by Haruka » Fri, 4. Jan 13, 23:09

I've just finished the Terran plot line in AP and am now faced with the dilemma of where to put it. Any suggestions? I'd like it to be in the Terran sectors for preference.
On a similar note, does anyone have a suggestion on how to set up a complex (Or more) to supply it? I'm planning on keeping my fleet Terran (I just like the look) so it should simplify things somewhat.

You should have received a message telling you it is stored at a certain station ready for you to collect in a TL.
So check your log.

Oh no, I've got the HQ, just unsure of where to place it and a complex to supply it. I gather the two should be in separate sectors given how much a large complex can lag up a game.

Put mine in Aldrin 2. A little busy with traffic, but I kind of like that. Never any hostiles that I didn't manage to spawn on my own. Also, close to Megnir and Aldrin, both of which have insane resources. Got a gate, has decent tunes, can't ask for much more.

Don't know much about a complex for it. I feed mine capped ships. Way easier to recycle ships than it is to build them, and I've gotta keep my marines busy somehow.

Sorry...been a day and half !
I mis-read your post.
many put the TPHQ in the Terran Unknown sector below Oort Cloud.,But any sparsely populated sector will do.
But like manks,I put mine to the right of the main Aldrin stations.

I was thinking such. Thanks. What about a complex to supply it? I've seen a few things around before but I can't find them now. Typical

This was said by another forum member in response about levels for the CW PHQ.

It May help you configure a complex.
See also the complex calculator in my sig.
To completely fill a PHQ with wares in approx the right ratios for production (and nothing else stored - more than enough for an Aran) you will need:

2222 each of Cloth Rimes, Crystals, Quantum Tubes & Computer Components.
4444 each of Rastar Oil & Microchips.
6666 each of Silicon & Teladianium.
8888 Ore
213312 Energy Cells
10 Nividium

I doesn't have to be in Terran space. Lore wise it makes sense but when I got my TPHQ I stuck it in Queens Space/Retribution. One of them. I get mixed up sometimes. It just seems kind of peaceful.

Also I find Terran sectors are just too big and remote for comfort. I don't want my newly built ships to be spending weeks trying to get to the TOA.

It's also handy for jump drives and has a shipyard and EQ for engine tuning your new ships.

If you've got the hub up and running then precise location doesn't really matter so much because you can always link one of the gate sets to the sector chosen. Well maybe not Terran sectors.

I just want it in a Terran sector, preferably our solar system. Thanks for the calculators. This should help.

Now, I just need a huge fleet. I think a few carriers with a dreadnought escort. Time to stick it to our so called 'brothers'.

If you use the resource map in Xadrian's Complex Calculator, it will tell you the yield of silicon, ore etc in various sectors.

Oort Cloud and Kuiper Belt seem good for support complexes according to that.

There was a downloadable version of such a thing, used the game files which lead to a tiny file size. Any idea what that was? I had it on the old computer but neglected to note it down...

two come to mind,if you mean resource maps
But I do not know what they were called, and both were for TC

One was a 3D version that showed you where the most distant roids were.
Very handy for certain sector in Paranid space.

The other was just an Excel list.

Not sure Scorp's Map was the one you were thing of.
Can't remember if it also did resources.

But if you mean a downloadable Complex calculator that works offline then Xadrian's is probably the best.

Althes is a good sector for your Phq it has decent power and is close to the Terran/Aldrin sectors and there are military bases nearby with Jump drives available in Segaris another good place is the UK sector south of the xenon sector to the esat of segaris plenty of roids and the xenon never go there.

plus it only has one gate so easy to defend.
When traveling pause occasionally, look back and enjoy the moment again.

Mine (non-Terran) is in an Unknown Sector in the middle of the galaxy. Forget what it's attached to but I know it's only got one connection.
