Terran Conflict to Albion Prelude. Have I missed something?

Post by rferrett » Fri, 25. Jan 13, 18:40

I have just started AP having finally finished the Balance of Power questline in Terran Conflict.

I really feel like I have missed something. There was a cold war going on, and now there is a full on fighting war. How did that happen? When did it start and why?

Did I miss this or is it explained during the story missions in AP?

Also, (and maybe this gets explained in AP too!) but what the heck happened to Kyle Brennan? At the end of Reunion he was surely trying to breach the gap between the commonwealth and the Terrans. What happened to him? I don't think he gets mentioned in TC at all.

Starting to wonder if I missed some story elements in TC.

I did Terran, New Home, Aldrin 2.0, Goner, Balance of Power, Hub and HQ plots.

Was there like a bridging graphic novel or something?

It's mostly explained in the downloadable Encyclopedia. You do need to register your game in your user profile in order to download it, though.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Well, the X-Encyclopedia is very interesting.

I have to say though it is surely a bit of a narrative failure in a game that one has to read a 300 page document many will not even know exists to understand what the heck is going on?

And all the events of the Second Terraformer war sound fascinating. Why were they not part of the games?

Oh well.
