X Tension Key commands

Ok I am playing the games from the start. I have finished X Beyond the Frontier. I have just had to reformat my computer. In the manual of X Tension on page 17 it says for Accelerating A. And braking on page 18 is V
Now when you go to Page 23 it then says Acceleration A. But Braking is Y. Didnt it use to be Z for Braking.

I am now confused what key is what?

Not having the game loaded, I can only ask whether you have tried accelerating and braking in the game yet and so seeing what key(s) work as what. I think you can press F8 in-game to see the button mapping but I am unsure about that. Also see this.

I do know that you cannot reconfigure the control keys in-game without using an external keyboard hotkey/macro application.

Sounds like a typo due to the fact that the German keyboard has the Z an Y keys switched. If I remember correctly, it's A and Z for the speed controls.

edit: Just checked a copy. V is plain wrong I think.
