X3R was working just fine a couple of days ago. Since then apple updated OSX from 10.8.2 to 10.8.3 and since then I've been having loads of problems.
The game starts, comes up with the first menu (new game, continue, etc.) but when one option is selected and the actual game is about to start it locks up. Usually it locks up on the loading screen. Sometimes it will get to an in game screen with a garbled HUD and it just plays an audio sample in a loop.
Has anyone else been having issues with the latest version of OSX? The version of X3R I'm running is 2.5, downloaded from the apple app store. There seems to be an update to 2.52 out on the internet but this only works for the boxed DVD version of the game since it asks for a licence key. Does anyone know of a way round this to be able to install the update?
The specs/versions are:
computer: Macbook pro 13"
graphics: Intel HD4000
OS version: 10.8.3
X3R version: 2.5

This is something you'll need to ask Virtual Programming about. They are the developers of the version you are running.
